The Lobby is excited to feature Rachel Mayer, cofounder of Trigger, for our August edition of our Finance 2 Tech events where we focus on helping bankers make the leap into the tech / startup / VC world. We'll talk with Rachel about her journey from trading into co-founding Trigger. In contrast to some of our previous guest speakers, Rachel took the route of a masters in computer science to make the transition between finance and tech. We'll explore the pros/cons of her journey and reflect on her lessons learned thus far in the process. Check out Rachel talking about Trigger on CNBC here.
As a former investment banking analyst interested in tech, I know how tough it can be to figure out how to make the shift between these industries. Since our personal networks in finance are fairly homogenous, it's hard to meet the right people who can help you figure out what skills in finance are transferrable to high-growth tech startups or large tech companies and also how to position yourself for those roles. With The Lobby, you'll have a chance to be a part of a community dedicated to helping you meet and learn from others who've made this shift successfully.
Tickets will be limited so that we can keep the event intimate, and make sure we have attendees from both the financial services and technology industries. RSVP at the link above!
Excited to see you all!
